I’m writing this without anything fancy, just pure thoughts in words.
If you’re hurt, if you’re anxious about something, or if you’re depressed, look, life is not linear. It has its ups and downs. There will be days when everything goes smoothly, and there will be days when things can get rough.
Why is that?
Because we are mere guests in this temporal world, with a mission to obey God and His commandments. But we desire so many things. We chase so many things just for validation, just for show. In doing so, we move away from the main purpose of life.
It is said in the Holy Qur’an that, “Competition for this fleeting world diverts us until we reach the grave.” Isn’t this something to think about? Isn’t this the reality we are chasing?
When you look around you, what do you see? Everyone is busy chasing wealth and money. Yes, we need wealth and money, but not excessively. People don’t even care about right and wrong while making money. Most people try to scam others and get money, and they rise faster than most of us. And you see people are getting married, having children, traveling the world, enjoying their lives, but it feels you’re stuck. Then we make them our role models and start comparing, wondering why we have less. This creates a vicious cycle of anxiety and the urge to have more. And this kills and takes away your peace of mind.
Remember, there will always be people who have more than you and me. The journeys of our lives are never the same, and neither are the destinations. So, it’s a wrong idea to compare other people’s lives with ours and create a self-made problem. Peace is something you find in contentment. There is no peace without contentment. And happiness will follow peace.
No matter how life treats you, be grateful for the life you have, because there are people who are praying for the life you have. Wherever we are, we are under God’s supervision. He has decreed everything before we were even created. So, no rush. Don’t chase, but attract. Work smart, pray, and let God do the rest.
Here’s one last thing you should remember:
“What’s meant for you will never miss you, and what missed you was never meant to be yours.”
Thanks and regards,
