Discipline Secrets
Short Note on Discipline
Building Discipline: One Step at a Time
Discipline isn’t built overnight. It’s not about forcing yourself to wake up at 4 a.m. or grinding until you collapse. True discipline is about showing up consistently, even when you don’t feel like it.
The mistake most people make? They go too big, too fast. They set extreme goals and collapse under the weight of them. The secret is to start small. Make your bed. Read one page. Do one push-up. These tiny acts may feel insignificant, but they are the bricks that build the wall of discipline.
Over time, those small wins stack up. They train your brain to keep promises to yourself. And that’s what real discipline is self-trust.
So don’t wait for motivation. Don’t chase perfection. Just show up today, even in the smallest way possible. Because discipline isn’t about what you do once it’s about what you do again and again until it becomes who you are.

Really like this, yet I sense it's just the tip of the ice Berg of what you might have to offer me. I just subscribed to discipline daily here , so I’m gonna go backwards and read your posts, yet bit by bit as you recommended here …small goals, baby steps or something I’ve been incurred to take for many years by different people …my nature would be to go read all of them in one sitting though. I’ve been working overtime on this. On a podcast I found a thing called the fundamental five , which is: getting enough sleep or regular sleep at the same time depending you ask or both. Eating well, for me that sometimes is eating enough, not just good nutrition. drinking enough water, which is one I’ve worked on very hard and don’t think about but most of the time I get my 60- 80+ ounces of water. exercise which for me is ideally getting to the gym or going for a walk every day and hike once a week, and some form of holistic care. This is the one I’ve really struggled with trying to meditate every day wake up and meditate or meditate before I go to bed doing box breathing but falling asleep setting time windows listening to all different types of podcasts and audiobooks and recordings, even going back to cassette ones which I of course can’t play anymore instead bottom line is the discipline of striving for all of these at once is something I make very difficult for myself as far as setting the goal of accomplishing all five and setting a spreadsheet and logging in every day on my success and then I see my failures, which is the word I use because it’s how I feel at the moment And then at some point very regularly stopping logging and then stopping my efforts because I’ve set up these massive goals for myself to overcome. you notice nutrition wasn’t on the list. People have said you need to eat better if you’re exercising and you don’t eat well then it’s you know half or Whatever I’ve give myself grace on this one as I said I just don’t eat enough yet when I eat I eat relatively healthy
as you may have noticed I’ve been transcribing talk to text as I’ve got some tremors I’m working through .
Jubair it’s a pleasure to “meet” you so to speak and I look forward to reading more your writing I just subscribed and I’m trying to figure out a way to share my own writing through sub stack And or medium, as a means to be heard, and hopefully at some point a little side income, which I don’t need much to make a difference so I’m curious if you’d ever wanna talk off-line, I’d be very interested in your suggestions and your successes and things you’ve learned along the way publishing online
